Why I quit Facebook

I don't know many of my Friends know this or not but I recently deleted my Facebook account and I have decided not to use Facebook from now on. Why I did this, let's find out!
Couple of months ago, we had a 2 day workshop on hacking. In that they gave us some basic tips about hacking/phishing blah.. blah.. In that, they also told us about the different marketing strategies of Facebook and how the Facebook is using your private content and other things to help you to buy different things online. I don't know many of you know this or not but on Facebook even if your privacy settings are private you cannot completely hide yourself. So, after listening to all this I did some research on this topic.
After the research, I found some interesting things and yes, this will surely blow your mind!
First of all, as I said nothing is "private" on Facebook (apparently Internet). Basically Facebook's revenue is 100% based on Marketing and advertisement. So, they focus on how they can give you better and better advertisements and to provide you better advertisements they need to study your habits. So basically they monitor your chats, your activities, your browser history and many other things. They even track you offline (I'll explain this in next paragraph). After monitoring all your activities, they sell all your information to the companies which you showed your interest in and the companies and this is how you get ads on your timeline. This is not it, there are many things that Facebook does behind your back, one other example is, even though you have 1000+ Facebook friends ever wondered why you get maximum 200-300 likes on your post? that's because Facebook doesn't share your post with all of the friends you are connected with. Why? this is another marketing strategy, if you want to reach to all of your friends, you have to give some money to Facebook to promote your post.. seriously? -_-
Now, let's talk about how Facebook is tracking you offline. I recently heard this news on a YouTube channel called Technical Guruji, he shared his experience about how he was tracked down by Facebook offline! So, He was in Delhi and he went into Croma shoppe to buy some charging cables he just asked price of the cables and didn't bought them. After that, when he logged into Facebook, he saw the Ad about same Cable which he asked for in the Shoppe. This is not a coincidence. These branded Shops sells the information to Facebook and then Facebook gives you more Ads.
With all these incidents happened, I thought I should quit Facebook and should never use it again in my life!
